The context
As recognized by the Council Recommendation 22/05/2018 on key competences for lifelong learning, transversal (or soft) skills have also become necessary in order to foster development of those key competences enabling young students to become active and responsible citizens.
While the role of creativity and non-formal education in helping students to develop soft skills has been widely recognised, more progress has to be made in order to develop innovative methodologies targeting transversal skills and foster the inclusion of such learning approaches across VET curricula.
Project objective
Playing 4 Soft Skills aims to address existing needs in terms of transversal skills by introducing non-formal education and digital tools in the context of vocational education and training providers with the objective to enhance students’ awareness and ability to recognise and develop relevant transversal skills

Description and Goals
An increasing number of schools and teachers are using the tools for the school designed by Google, because of the numerous advantages they bring from a communicative, didactic and organizational point of view.
The G Suite for Education suite of solutions was designed by Big G to offer schools and teachers the opportunity to enter the digital age, to change and improve their teaching methods. G Suite for Education includes a series of free tools that can help increase the opportunities for critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity, while supporting the educational objectives set.
With the Google Apps, students, teachers and all school staff can communicate in an easier and more immediate way, which will favor collaboration among teachers, helping them to spend less time on paperwork, all for the benefit of teaching and school work. Among the many opportunities there is also the possibility of implementing methodologies that allow individualization, personalization and differentiation of learning, going beyond the universalistic approach of teaching and grasping the needs related to the abilities and passions of individual students.
Sistema Turismo and Axonforce have created this course to:
- companies, organizations and teachers who want to increase their performances and integrate digital tools into their daily work
- those who work in the world of school, who want to obtain the IT skills necessary to apply an innovative teaching model..
During the lessons, the teachers, in addition to understanding how to create a virtual classroom, how to use the main Google tools for school and how to choose the right one to achieve their goal, find out how technology can improve teaching and learning and support and simplify their everyday job.
The course is held by Mariassunta Telesca, Google Educator, from 19 to 27 July 2021 in Potenza.
